I Love Dita Von Teese

I was surprised to find out that not all that many people have heard of her.  I think she is so beautiful and the picture of Hollywood 30's glamour.

Anyway, I was reading that the new look for nails (according to the New York and Paris Fashion Shows) is the  Half Moon Manicure.  I guess everything comes back eventually.

I remembered that Dita always did her nails that way and they looked so elegant.

  

 

 The Half Moon Manicure is a nail trend from the 20's, where the tips are lacquered scarlet and a tiny white crescent is left at the nail bed.  It's a retro take on the French Manicure.

I heard an easy way to accomplish this is to use those little paper reinforcements to achieve a perfect crescent.

I remember my mom had half moon manicures when I was a small child--a long, long time ago. I always thought it looked odd. I hope that doesn't catch on now
